Danbury Garden Club

Membership Information

The Danbury Garden Club consists of a diverse group of enthusiastic members who share a passion for gardening, design and community involvement. We maintain gardens at the Danbury Museum, Danbury Library, butterfly garden at the South King Street School and the Blue star Memorial at exit 5. We offer garden therapy at nursing homes and work with youth in our Junior program.  We offer tours of member’s gardens as well as trips to public gardens. Our Artistic Design Committee makes flower arrangements for special events as well as designs shown at our monthly program meetings. We offer informative programs, workshops, have two plant sales each year, and you can get free advice from experienced gardeners.

Our Calendar year is July 1 – June 30. We have Guest speakers at our monthly meetings from September to May excluding December and our annual meeting is in June.

By becoming a member of the Danbury Garden Club you are also a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of CT, National Garden Clubs, Inc, and the New England Garden Clubs.

We are an active club and members are expected to attend at least 4 meetings per year, be active on at least one committee and participate on the hospitality committee.

We welcome new members–both women and men. If you are interested in joining please use this PDF link to download and print the application form and mail the form and payment to the Membership Chair.
